Individuals who are partially sighted or blind play the sport of Blind Ice Hockey across Canada, North America and now Europe. Teams and programs have developed world wide as the sport increases in popularity. BC has had a team for many years. The Eclipse currently play out of Moody Park Arena in New Westminster on a weekly basis throughout the winter.
Blind Hockey uses some modified rules and equipment to make the sport accessible. The major difference affecting play is the use of the adapted puck that makes a distinctive noise and is larger than a traditional puck.
